New design contract for innovative SOV
LMG Marin will provide Cemre Shipyard with a full basic design package for their two Service Operation Vessels to be built for GC Rieber Shipping’s subsidiary WindKeeper AS.
The Windkeeper concept is developed by GC Rieber Shipping and will be of an innovative SWATH design (Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull). This concept will give a substantial lower environmental footprint, in addition to an improved sea- and station keeping performance.
This is LMG Marin’s third project together with Cemre Shipyard over the last 13 months, and we are proud to succeed together with them in another spectacular newbuilding project.
LMG Marin have been working to enter the SOV market for some time and it is a great pleasure for us to develop this project together with two very experienced partners for such a ground-breaking new concept.
The Windkeeper is 57 meters long and will be built according to the DNV classification rules and regulations including Walk to Work and DPS(2) notations and sail under Norwegian Flag.
